An ill-invited guest

We regularly have other animals eating the dog's food, but this evening I found something very unusual sitting in the dog's bowl : a hedgehog. It's the first time I could see one of these creatures from nearby; very cute, but alas covered in thicks, so I didn't even think of touching it.

The little guest didn't bothering me watching, and continued quietly eating the dog's food. After 5 minutes, it had enough, and continued its journey.

The Inquisitor

This is cool : The Inquisitor is a Google frontend, which is an AJAX-style web application that retrieves web results and suggestions as-you-type. So you don't have to wait for the Google request to finish, and you get the first three relevant Google results while you're typing your search term.

Kristof needs

This is the new meme, apparently (google for "YourName needs" and present the results):

  • Kristof needs a new proof-reader.
  • Kristof Needs to be Kissed Off.
  • Kristof needs to visit Switzerland.
  • Kristof needs to admit he's become a useless fool.
  • Kristof needs to spend less time at those New York dinner parties.
  • Kristof needs to explain Uganda.

Tomtom 5 vs Navigon 4

When I bought my PDA/GPS combination, it was installed with the Medion 'Navigon' Navigator. I've used it for about a half year, but never found the interface pleasing, nor the menu user-interface anything near comfortable using. So I recently made the switch to Tomtom 5. The menu surely is worth the upgrade versus Navigon. The GPS view itself is an improvement, too : Tomtom shows me the names of the streets on the map itself, without too much cluttering the screen.

And another goodie is the extra POI's : I imported the speed camera locations of the Benelux, and configured Tomtom so that it gives me a warning when I get anywhere near those damned robot cops.
